Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is a nonprofit organization that enables people who are homebound to eat well and remain in their own homes. The program's dedicated staff and volunteers prepare and deliver over 800,000 nutritious meals a year to over 3,000 clients. Meals on Wheels is the largest, continuously operating Meals on Wheels program in the country. Each day, Meals on Wheels Central Kitchen Facility staff prepare approximately 2,900 meals - one hot meal and one cold meal - for each client whom they serve. The program serves between 1,400 and 1,500 clients per day.
